We are very pleased to share with you the newly redeveloped SeniorCare.ie website.

We have worked hard with Am Web on the redesign and upgrade. They have done an incredible job and we are delighted with the new site.

Access to information on the wide variety of available services is crucial. For 10 years, SeniorCare.ie has provided comprehensive information on local services for older people in Ireland. The website is relaunched with several large-scale improvements and additions:

  • A responsive, map-enabled directory of local services and groups all over Ireland
  • A new searchable information section with details on entitlements, legal issues, caregiving, dementia, and more
  • A new section with information on free helplines and helpful services for older people
  • A new secure area for organisations to create an account and edit their details

After 10 years, the need for easy-to-access essential information for older people and their loved ones continues to increase. Our goal is for SeniorCare.ie to be a one-stop online information hub for older people and their loved ones. There are so many fantastic organisations offering key services, but they are digitally isolated. We want to bring them to one online home.

Organisations can get listed for free or pay a small charge for a featured listing. We are seeking submissions and feedback for new information sections and additions to existing sections. The more essential information we display, the better for our visitors.

SeniorCare was first launched in 2007, the brainchild of Sheila Ebbs, co-founding partner. Sheila says: “The idea for Seniorcare.ie sprang from personal experience. My mother’s health and mobility had deteriorated and I was concerned about her ability to remain in her own home. This worry was not made easier by the difficulties I encountered in locating the relevant services. I imagined how easy it would be for clients, their families, carers and professionals if one website could house all the information they might need.”

Since launching, SeniorCare.ie traffic has increased every year with the growing demand for professional services and key information. With more features in development, it is hoped the newly redesigned website will continue to develop in line with the needs of Ireland’s aging population.
