Meals on Wheels, Lunch, Social Activities, Outings Claim this listingPalmerstown Parish Daycare centre has been operating for the past 30 years. It started in 1986 on a small scale serving tea and sandwiches once a week.
Today they provide in excess of 300 dinners per week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Approximately half of these are meals on wheels and the remainder are served in the Day Care Centre.
Apart from the provision of meals the centre provides a social outlet and contact for our senior citizens.
Palmerstown Day Care Centre work in conjunction with the HSE whose health inspector’s visit regularly to ensure standards are maintained.
The Centre is run on a completely voluntary basis. There are approximately 44 volunteers including drivers who all do a wonderful job. New volunteers are always welcome.
