About Michael
Michael was born in Moylough, County Sligo, Ireland.
From the age of six he has been singing at local events and was a member of his local church choir for many years. After completing his Secondary education he moved to Dublin in 1965 where he has been employed in the Local Government Service for most of his working life.
Over the years he has been in regular demand to sing at various charity and other fundraising events. He has now fulfilled a lifetime ambition by recording his first CD. The full proceeds from the sale of the CD are being donated to The Irish Cancer Society. He hopes to raise €20,000 for the Society's Daffodil Day fund. The CD was launched at a special function held in the Moylough Arts and Heritage Centre on the 14th February 2009.
On a personal note, Michael is an absolute gentleman and we wish him all the very best with this worthy project. The CD has been played many times in our house and we highly recommend it :)
